Todos AB’s R&D has found room for innovation to make online banking even more convenient.

The new Todos A200 Optic provides the highest level of security but it uses a new, technology to connect the device to the bank without cables.

To authenticate sign-what-you-see transactions, the bank sends an animated barcode to the reader via a web browser. A200 Optic is a HHD 1.3.2 and HHD-UC 1.0.1 device. Light sensors in the device decode the details for confirmation on the A200. It’s a bit like a visual morse code.

This system defeats the latest threats, such as man-in-the-middle attacks. It also ensures that transactions cannot be repudiated because there is a clear act-of-will involved when the user authorises them.

People can use the device with virtually any web browser on any screen, making it more self-contained, portable and flexible than other solutions. Apart from the reader, the device shares design and functionality with the Todos A200. This means that it includes the most advanced Todos security features.

The A200 Optic allows for up to 45° (+- 20°) tilt without losing connection
