Todos VAS - the Heart of eCode
Our eCode offering is based upon a unique server solution, Todos VAS (Versatile Authentication Server). Todos VAS supports a variety of different Two-Factor Authentication solutions based on One Time Passwords (OTP), Challenge/Response and Electronic Signatures. Todos VAS is the heart of eCode - a system which is completely configurable and allows you to combine different authentication schemes with different devices for authentication. This means that by using Todos eCode you can simultaneously use different types of end-user devices, OTP standards and algorithms.
Todos VAS is designed with banks in focus. Hence security levels built into it complies with a vast number of banking security requirements as well as known standards regarding key management. A Hardware Secure Module (HSM), adapted by Todos to give optimal performance to the system, is recommended for storage of the keys whereas all sensitive operations are performed securely within the HSM.
Through its capability to support several authentication solutions simultaneously, Todos eCode allows you to differentiate customers and support different customer needs. Furthermore you can allow one customer to use several devices, i.e. multiple credit/debit cards and let the customer access his services depending on what card is used or even have the same access via different cards.
This means that our system is future-proof - just configure the system to satisfy the needs of security, usability and business requirements whenever called for. On top of it all, if you would like to share the authentication service excellence you develop with Todos eCode, you can have other institutions join your operation. You can offer other service providers an authentication service driven from your Todos VAS. This is kept completely separate from your own set-up, with separate data storage, keys and settings, easily managed through several similarly divided Customer Support Modules – an ideal set-up for an Applications Service Provider.
