China Construction Bank rolls out 1 million Todos eCode Printed OTP each month

China Construction Bank (CCB) expands its penetration of remote two factor authentication solution for its internet banking customers.

CCB increases its roll-out pace of Todos eCode Printed OTP. Up to end 2006, there are more than 120 million customers and 10 million Internet bank users which now will benefit from a full range internet bank service. The framework for this mass-delivery was already in place as Todos since 2003 delivers an authentication solution for CCB branch office clerks, based on smart card technology. The very same server solution is now used in both application areas.

CCB, in utilising Todos eCode Solution for several purposes, is now taking advantage of its initial investment by adding two-factor authentication to the internet banking service. “Todos has proven to us that we are in position of a flexible and secure solution that allows several authentication methods simultaneously. Furthermore, we know that we at any moment can offer our clients continued trust in our services by means of not only printed OTPs” says Mr. Guan Kou, senior product manager of eBanking department CCB.
