Environmental issues are close at heart in most Swedish companies. This also applies for Todos. Todos actively uses its best effort to use components with minimum impact on environment, i.e. batteries without mercury, lead or cadmium are used with a minimum of power usage and plastics (ABS) without any toxic adhesives or glue (the assembly is done by ultrasonic welding). Hence all Todos devices are RoHS-compliant.
Todos is closely following developments in new materials in order to minimize negative environmental impact and to support sustainable resource usage.
In designing a new reader on behalf of a specific customer, Todos pointed out an alternative solution that would decrease battery waste with 6,4 tons per annum.
All Todos sub-contractors have ISO-9001 certification. Furthermore, all Todos sub-contractors have ISO14001 or are in progress to receive ISO14001 certification.
