ICA Banken is a Swedish bank with a truly unique profile – 196 employees looking after 3.8 Million ICA-card holders. The bank, owned by leading retail chain ICA AB, was established in 2002 with a cutting-edge approach to banking – no traditional offices, heavy emphasis on eBanking and integration of bank services in existing retail stores – easing customers’ financial management while strengthening ties to the ICA brand.
Pioneering thinking calls for pioneering partners, thus Todos being ICA’s choice of supplier from day one. Two phases, clearly defining the beauty of Todos’s flexible solutions, have crystalised since; the 2002 implementation of Todos’ One-Time Password (OTP) solution using smart cards, Todos Reader and a verification server, followed by the 2007 decision to update to EMV cards, Todos Authenticator and a risk management application in order to fully utilize Todos’ truly unique 3-D Secure eCommerce technology.
