Handelsbanken
Established in 1871, Handelsbanken is one of Sweden’s leading banks with 700 branch offices and 12 000 employees. In 2007, Todos AB were hand-picked to provide Handelsbanken with a new generation of e-banking and e-commerce security solutions.
The objectives were to upgrade security and at the same time increase business opportunities and stimulate e-commerce.
The choice fell on Todos eCode Suite, fully utilizing the power of Todos Versatile Authentication Server and the USB connectable smart card reader Todos C400, with a large display. Handelsbanken opted for Todos’s most advanced technologies, incl. Dynamic Signatures, Secure Domain Separation and Sign-What-You-See 2.0 functionality.
They also implemented Todos solution for increased levels of security in e-commerce. Handelsbanken leveraged on Todos extensive experience from similar roll-outs and the project was carried out in close cooperation.
The solution includes special features such as the ability to sign contracts with the utmost security, user-convenience in which the device in works without client-software or challenge/OTP. Multi-lingual support was also included, adapting accordingly to the user’s preferred language.
The roll-out commenced six months after signing the contract, and to date over one million devices have been delivered.
